Fandom Snowflake: Day 10

(Nearly done with the
snowflake_challenge!)
Day 10:
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.
Even though I've waited for well over a month, this time of the year is the worst for doing this. I just took part in Yuletide! And
fandom_stocking!! I had so many marvellous gifts, even in some of my completely obscure things and it was wonderful (♥) But, well, the meme dictates, and happy-making fannish things are nice, and I'm tired again, so here we are...
But really, my fandom stocking entry is pretty much my wishlist. Especially all the impossibly obscure bits at the end. Which I know nobody knows and all that, but still. And that's more than three things. Whoops.
My heart yearns for impossible things. (Isn't that just the truth? ;-D)
How about everyone else? What impossible fannish things do you want to see? Let's all be unreasonable together...
ETA: That was cheating, really wasn't it? I'll put some effort into it:
1. I could really use some Lynda Day in my life right now. Well, when don't you?
2. Some sort of mild Mary/Louisa or Mary & Louisa from Duchess of Duke Street. (I cannot write it, but I would love to read it.)
3. Someone to talk to about Public Eye S4 and "The Man Who Said Sorry". (Though said person is not allowed to dislike Mrs Mortimer. That would be sad. Maybe best not, then.)
4. I feel like Heroes of the Revolution is a real thing now. There should be fanfic for it/a fanmix/something... (Anyone feel like researching energy crises or something? ;-D I know, I know, that's the bit I'm supposed to go off and do. *sheepish*)
Oh, that was more than three. *cough* At least one of them was sort of possibly even achievable! *is proud of self*
There. I still want to know everybody else's impossible wishes, though...

ETA: Otto/Helga is so precious <3

Date: 28 Feb 2014 09:07 pm (UTC)(I'm currently almost half way through 'Atlantis' (the newish BBC series, not some Stargate spin-off - though I DO want to see that too!)
And I hope to one day have enough of an idea to write you Jago & Litefoot fic. Pref with that nice Mr Saunders... *snorts*

*flails at the idea*
ETA: ... are you suggesting that that nice Mr Saunders is really a bounder and a blaggart and possibly worse? 0_o
;-p
(And I haven't watched any Atlantises at all!)

(I'm enjoying the BBC show. Especially Sarah Parish as Bitch!Queen of Atlantis, and Juliet Stevenson as Mystic!Meg the Oracle. Oh, and Alexander Siddig as King Minos the muddled.

Date: 1 Mar 2014 02:58 pm (UTC)I am - despite the fact that there are far too few kitchen servants in the palace of King Minos (every time someone goes in there for a secret assignation, there's only one person in there - ridiculous!)
no subject
Date: 2 Mar 2014 01:24 pm (UTC) So, are they all slacking off, or do they use one servant until they die of exhaustion and then get another? People should think through world-building. Or possibly find a way to afford extras...
no subject
Date: 2 Mar 2014 01:27 pm (UTC)The daft thing is there are LOADS of extras in other scenes - just not in the kitchen scenes.
However, I've now finished the series, and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it (esp Juliet Stevenson (The Oracle), Jack Donnelley (Jason), and Ken Bones (Melas the priest). (Oh, and wonderful guest star roles from the likes of John Hannah, Robert Lindsay, and especially Anton Lesser. Whom I love to bits ever since seeing him in the BBC's King Lear...)

Date: 1 Mar 2014 04:10 am (UTC)Sadly, I can't write that show but I'll keep an eye out on Regina meta for you!
no subject
Date: 1 Mar 2014 12:58 pm (UTC)And, yes, it is such a difficult show to write for, because you never know when they're going to joss you with new backstory info!
But, yes, I am far, far more attached to Regina than I thought I could be at the start and spend too much time emoting over her face in various episodes. I like pretty much everyone else, too. And I love the meta concept of it all so much. That was why I gave in and had to watch it, even though I was sceptical of the little bits I had seen.

Date: 1 Mar 2014 03:37 pm (UTC)I am in a romantic mood so any recs for any pairings in my fandoms would be boss and if anyone wants to butt in with higher rated stuff that would be splendid too.
I tried to write you Frank meets Lonely but it fizzled out. A spy pretends to be Callan's estranged wife:p I do have my S&S/Orphee thing and I have recently aquired the 2nd series of Jago and Litefoot. All I have to do now is listen to it!
no subject
Date: 2 Mar 2014 01:23 pm (UTC)And, ooh, Jago & Litefoot S2! I hope you enjoy it. I did, and, of course, that had nothing to do with that dreadful dastardly devil, Gabriel Saunders!

Date: 2 Mar 2014 03:57 pm (UTC)I hope J&L makes sense, as I have rather shallowly skipped series 1. I have got 'Talons...' though.
no subject
Date: 2 Mar 2014 08:38 pm (UTC)I don't think you need to have listened to S1 first. It's mainly just Jago and Litefoot being themselves, and in S2 they have a certain sinister gentleman to deal with, which is fun.

Date: 2 Mar 2014 08:41 pm (UTC)I would also be quite happy to have The Smugglers back and Sanditon, so maybe all those things can happen in the same universe. We just have to work out how to get there, or at least obtain telly/books from parallel universes.

Date: 7 Mar 2014 10:15 pm (UTC)I don't know if this will interest you but a good few years ago I wrote a Garrison's Gorillas/'Allo 'Allo crossover featuring Michelle, though the story focusses mostly on the GG guys. I don't think it's bad though there's head-hopping galore. I did say it was a good few years ago.
Anyway, if you're interested in reading it, it's here.
