Forsyte Saga (BBC 1967) Fleur/Jon picspam (10 Tumblr graphics; 88 pics) for hc_bingo square "forbidden love". (And completing two possible bingos at once! \o/ Well, it can still only be one bingo, but I get to choose which one I claim. If I don't complete another possible bingo before I'm done. Ha.)

Notes: Fleur Forsyte/Jon Forsyte picspam (also some Fleur/Michael, Jon/Ann), plus Soames and Irene. Warnings for infidelity & spoilers for very old TV and literature. (Feat. Susan Hampshire, Martin Jarvis, Eric Porter, Nyree Dawn Porter, Nicholas Pennell, Anne Fernald.) It got a bit ridiculously epic, but I blame that on Susan Hampshire's face.

Also, sorry, being obscure again, but, look, a second 'impossible' bingo square completed! How could I not? (I'm still on Team Michael, though.)


Fleur Forsyte/Jon Forsyte Picspam

Fleur and Jon meet and fall for each other, but don't realise that not only are their fathers cousins (now estranged), but Fleur's father once had a disastrous marriage to Jon's mother, so none of their relations want to see a relationship happen - it would be too painful for everyone. Years later, they meet up again, but by that time they're both married to other people...

I think Susan Hampshire's hair is quite fair in this, but it's hard to tell in b&w. Martin Jarvis, though, is so young he's not quite Martin Jarvis yet, bless.

Oh my gosh, look how young they all are! I've always intended to watch the 60s adaptation of the Forsyte saga, just for the cast if nothing else, and your lovely picspam is nudging me to do it. ;)

Aw, thank you! And it does have a truly amazing cast. Like a lot of 60s things, it's a little slow in places (and I feel there could have been less board meetings in the middle!), but pretty magnificent once you get into it. :-)
