fandom_stocking went live some time last night, so I have a whole stocking full of goodies!

But that wasn't all... First Liadtbunny found me some Barbara Murray stuff and then, surreally, apparently James Maxwell turned up on her Avengers extras pretending to be Steed for a bit and she has the screencaps to prove it. (That James Maxwell gets everywhere...!) Anyway, I was highly amused, because, you know, Steed if he was awkwardly tall, slightly shifty and didn't know what to say to people at parties.

I had some pretty icons from Scripsi, some sweet best wishes/New Year's greetings, a rec, an IOU for Chalet School fic of some kind (v exciting!), and a lovely little A Quiet Gentleman/The Grand Sophy crossover by rain_sleet_snow.

I also had some fab Adam Adamant Lives! gifs from Swordznsorcery, so have a few of them under the cut:




I did manage to do a bit more on the stocking-stuffing myself than last year, which was good! I'll post those in another post sometime. I didn't get to very many people, though - a rather random eight or so, including (ironically) an IOU for Chalet School fic and a joint S&S WIP (that I am at least pretty sure is going to get completed now as it has a much better scribbled out plan than it did when I posted the beginning).

Liadt's "James Maxwell in The Avengers" photostory is genius! And I'm glad you've got some good things to read. Silver meets Liz Shaw sounds like a damned near perfect idea.

I do love Dramatic-Door-Opening-Adam, I must admit. He looks so determined and dynamic. Mind you, he does get bashed over the head almost immediately afterwards. :D Plus ça change!

Indeed it is! :-D And very surreal, as if I'm having some sort of weird warping effect on reality somehow! Silver and Liz have been meeting fairly regularly for a while. Blame it on a meme...

I loved the gifs! I think I may need to try and down size some of them for Tumblr because it would only accept the footwork one, one of the theme ones, and Adam and Georgie coming through doors. It rejected the others, stupid site that it is. (For something that exists for gif sets, it's very awkward about letting you post any, sometimes even defying logic about it.)

The ones you mention as problematic are all above 2mb, which may be the problem. Here they are resized to make them below that limit (I've resized all nine, for neatness).

No, I know I didn't need to, but I have a good animated gif program, which probably makes these things a lot easier for me. I cropped rather than straight resized the sword fight on the stairs, for instance, so as to prevent it becoming too small to see properly. Only took a moment!

Well, thank you! (And, yeah, I have various bits of software, but none of them seem to be help me out on the gif-making front.) I have set some of them lose on Tumblr! They have all of 4 or 5 likes/reblogs already! (That is v few by Tumblr terms, but quite a few for my obscure Tumblr blog.)
