Small thing

In the interests of keeping cheerful, I would have liked to do a writing meme, but since I am still working on the Yuletide fic that won't lie down and die, that must wait. However, there is another sort of small, nice thing I can provide - icons!

I know hardly anybody has room or as much use for them anymore, but they are a source of pretty and joy all round, so if you would like one, comment here! I can provide a pic if it's something I have screencapped already, or can easily Google image search for stock; otherwise it's best to supply me with a pic or quote to use, if you'd like a text icon. And then I shall do my best to oblige over the next few days (when I'm not hitting said fic with a big stick).

Click my icon tag below to see what my usual efforts are like. Iconses, anyone?? Um, probably best not hate-iconses, though. I would get v down before I was done. Otherwise, anything goes - I don't need to know something to do an icon request.

I don't have an icon of Silver, as it happens. Or Liz Shaw. Or, you know, (thinking forward to fandom_stocking and the fics I'm likely to write) an icon with both Silver _and_ Liz Shaw in it.

I could probably use more classic Who icons in general, tbh.

I'd love some Fourth Doctor -- anything happy! Also, I don't know if you can do it, but I would adore an actual high-quality version of the icon I used for this comment. I'd tell you where I found the original picture, but I don't remember, sadly. It was taken at the table reading for School Reunion if that helps.

I'm curious about the "I know hardly anybody has room or as much use for them anymore". Am I a minority in this? I upgraded specifically to have more room for icons -- I have loads of room for icons -- and I use a variety of icons daily.

I don't know - maybe it's me, but I get that impression. I think, being as you can only use one at a time on tumblr, and LJ is quieter, a lot of people don't have paid accounts any more and so on. But maybe I'm wrong!

I like icons. I used to have the icon extension, but alas, I have to be sensible in this straightened times! Still, via my paid account and loyalty icons, I'm at 65 now, but it's NEVER ENOUGH!

I would like a Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange icon if I could have one please? Or more. I've been meaning to make myself some, but not gotten round to it. The movie has become my absolute favorite of the Marvel movies, and I pay for extra icon space to be sure I have room for plenty of them.

Aw, that's nice of you to offer. Since I'm trying to get excited about sewing cosplays for Chicago TARDIS again, perhaps an icon with Polly in her red dress from The Tenth Planet/Power of the Daleks?

As for your lovely offer... Hmm... I'm very fond of the quote "I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night", and of a bunch of sci-fi fandoms (Star Trek TNG, Doctor Who, Firefly) if that inspires you? (No need to go mad trying to fit the whole quote either, I realise it's long for an icon :) )

It's not too long a quote for an icon at all! I'm not entirely sure now about the font used, but I made a base version, one for each fandom mentioned and a combined gif version, so I hope one of these will please you:
