Somewhat to my surprise, my tentative plan to scan in an old birthday card and see if I could make any passable icon texture bases turned into a full scale set that actually looked quite nice. If rather horribly pink, overall, but never mind. I'll find something blue next time.

Aw, thanks! Glad you like them. And, I mean, can you really have too many textures snaffled away? (Apart from the clutter on the hard-drive/memory stick etc, heh.)

Snaffled! I don't know why this particular one caught my eye, but it's very pretty. And swoopy. :D

(Also, I might do something similar to practice cropping and re-colouring. I've done some cropping in other programs but I seem unable to get the hang of making the scale tool work in GIMP, so non-screencaps would probably be less frustrating to start with. ;P)
