Big Finish Icons
Sep. 3rd, 2011 05:24 pm53 Big Finish icons, text and images. As I did many of these for
naarmamo, some may be a little random, but bear with me - I'll definitely do some more when I can.

I have to have Lucie's Sarcasmo one, and Benny's Lion Provocation because they both still make me laugh, even after multiple listens!
Also going to snag a Menzies one, 'cos I DO want her to travel with ol' Sixie, and Eight's lost key = epic adventure. *giggles*

Date: 2011-09-05 03:05 pm (UTC)(I have no idea what is going on in any of these, but Frobisher is awesome simply by the concept of him, i.e. "shapeshifting detective (who is not standardly humanoid)" IIRC? But the quotes are awesome. I may snaffle some when I am awaker than to use words like "standardly"... I've had a long weekend. *g*)

Date: 2011-09-05 06:53 pm (UTC)Frobisher's fun. And, yes, he's a Whifferdill (a shape-shifter) who's a PI who likes to default to 'penguin' although he can do other things. He is not as tough as he likes to make out. Or a very good PI.
And, thanks! DW is always great for quotes, whichever version it is, audio, classic, new...

Date: 2011-09-05 07:21 pm (UTC)Happily for your pocket, unhappily for the further adventures of Whifferdills, Frobisher is only in two BFAs, and they are both penned by the talented Rob Shearman (who wrote Dalek for New Who - based on his audio Jubilee). Frobisher was originally from DWM's comic strip in the 80s, I believe - I think some of those comics are available as graphic novels, now, but I'm not sure which, other than the one with Six!
Anyway, they are The Holy Terror and The Maltese Penguin, both with Colin Baker as Six. The second was a shorter, one-off, Frobisher-centric story, so probably the best place to start (& where the quote comes from). The Holy Terror is brilliant, funny, creepy and chilling & not exactly about naturalism. (Most Rob Shearman scripts are like this to some degree or other).

Date: 2011-09-10 12:03 pm (UTC)10-11 is of Katarina Olsson as the HeadHunter - she's a recurring villain (ish) from the Eight and Lucie series of stories.
(35-39 are all from Full Fathom Five, btw. I was highly amused by how inappropriately happy Siri O'Neal looked as Ruth in the last one. Not at all as if she's in an evil AU...)
