Obscure & British Commentfest 2014
May. 17th, 2014 02:04 pmWelcome to the Obscure & British comment fest II! This is a comment fest for any small(ish) British fandom and open to any kind of fanwork.

If you've ever loved any (non-large) British fandoms, find yourself too obscure for most fests, or you're busy wondering why there's still no Emma Peel in all this Avengers stuff, you're in the right place. Come on in and help yourself to a cup of tea and a crumpet. Also you should make prompts and fill them.
Rules & Guidelines
This comment!fest works in the same way as most comment ficathons - although all kinds of fanworks are definitely welcome here. (Fanart, icons, fanmixes, vids, whatever your creative mind can come up with.)
1. Be polite - no bashing of anyone, any prompts, characters, ships or fandoms! Thank you.
2. One prompt per post, please use format: Fandom, Character/Pairing, prompt.
3. Post fills as replies (or links) to the comment containing the prompt. Please format the subject line as follows: Fandom - Character/Pairing - Rating/Warnings (if needed). There's a fills thread at the start of the post. Please also link your fill here.
4. You may fill your own prompts if you wish. Multiple fills are allowed - even encouraged, especially in different formats.
5. For crossovers any fandom is allowed as long as the first fandom qualifies. (If it's a cracky multi-fandom crossover prompt, that's fine, too, though try and make sure there are always equal or more eligible fandoms in proportion to those that are non-eligible.)
6. Any other questions - there's a questions thread at the start of the post.
7. Prompt, fill, away!
Eligible Fandoms
Basically, any non-large British fandom at all! You can prompt for anything that fits, no matter how odd, old or obscure, or shiny and new - anything that's not on the below list is great.
Non-eligible fandoms
ALL non-British fandoms are ineligible (except as crossovers) and the following fandoms are British but too large and therefore ineligible for this fest (sorry):
Chronicles of Narnia (all), Doctor Who (2005+), Downton Abbey, Harry Potter, The Hobbit (all), James Bond (Craig!Bond films only), Lord of the Rings (all), Merlin, One Direction, Primeval, Robin Hood (BBC), Sherlock (BBC), Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle, The Silmarillion, Skins (UK), Torchwood, and post-2000 Actor RPF or Bandom RPF*.
*Only general Actor/Bandom post-2000 is ineligible. All reality TV/panel shows are fine (as are all songs/music vids), and prompts for most specific TV shows/bands are welcome. (As a general rule, just avoid RPF for anything listed above as ineligible.)
Anything British not listed above is more than welcome here! British TV, films, books, Historical events, plays, songs, radio dramas, folklore & mythology, anthropomorphic - it's all good, and there's no such thing as too obscure or too odd. There's no closing date for prompts or fills.
If you want to promote the fest, then thank you! Please do. You can find a selection of banners here, or feel free to make your own. (You can also find last year's fest here.)
ETA: There is now a post for the Masterlist of fills, to be updated as more arrive.

Date: 2014-05-17 06:30 pm (UTC)Casanova (2005), Bellino/Casanova/Henriette, M, rimming, pegging
Date: 2014-05-20 01:29 pm (UTC)---
They never stay anywhere long. Henriette still worries that Grimani will one day track them down, and Giacomo doesn’t say it but Bellino knows that he harbours a hope to return to Venice one day. So they keep moving. Six months in Vienna, eight in Bratislava, an ill-advised two years in Copenhagen that they resolve never to speak of again, and five in Prague, where she thinks, in another life, they might have settled. Bohemia agrees with Giacomo. Bellino doesn’t know where they’ll go next. East, perhaps; she’s often wondered about the Orient. It doesn’t much matter in the long run.
Their arrangement is… unconventional. In the beginning, it had been just the two of them: the famed Bellino and the infamous Casanova, singing and fast-talking and gambling their way around the great cities of Europe, taking men and women both into their bed and doing their best to put Naples from their minds. When Giacomo had arranged for her to sing at Covent Garden she had thought nothing of it, until there she was. That had been hard at first. Bellino had almost decided not to go with them, to strike out on her own, to return to Naples and hope to find Leonilda. But she stayed; of course she stayed.
It didn’t happen overnight. Bellino had sung, and seduced men, and waited. Soon enough, she was back in his bed. He needed Henriette, loved Henriette, but he craved Bellino and she him. Giacomo had never forgotten the thrill he’d felt when he’d thought she was a boy he was about to bed. She often wore his clothing then when she went to him, stuffed her breeches, tied her hair back in a masculine style and let him tangle his fingers in it as she swallowed down his cock. Sometimes she would get him on his hands and knees and press her tongue into the hot centre of him, savouring the heady taste and the sound of his moans. Other times, she would use l’appareil, the device they’d bought from a discreet Parisian back-alley boutique, pressing it inside him inch by inch and rocking her hips until they were both gasping and overcome.
One day, Henriette had come to her, her beautiful eyes downcast, and stammered out a request for Bellino to please show me what it is you do for him? And so it was that Bellino had found herself imitating Giacomo on her hands and knees, Henriette’s warm, wet mouth on her, sucking in a way that made stars burst behind Bellino’s eyes. When Henriette’s questing fingers had found her clitoris, she was lost. She had kissed her then, licked the musky taste of herself from Henriette’s lips, and introduced her to l’appareil.
Now the three of them fit together and come apart in different ways. Sometimes she and Giacomo will fight, flinging heated words and insults that cut with razor precision, hurting each other the way that only they can. Afterwards they’ll kiss, more teeth than tongue, and she will fuck him over his desk on top of his precious memoir, or else she’ll seek out Henriette and lose herself in her soft curves and her patient smile. Sometimes the three of them will share a bed all together, or Giacomo and Henriette will make love soft and slow whilst Bellino watches, or, once in a while, Bellino and Giacomo will seduce some bright-eyed boy for old time’s sake, bring him to their bed where Giacomo will suck him whilst Bellino smiles her sharp smile and whispers filth in his ear.
Giacomo is turning grey at the temples, and Bellino has tried to stop caring about the lines on her face that the paint no longer hides, and Henriette’s corsets have to be laced a little tighter. Perhaps one day they will return to Venice. But for now, this is enough.

Date: 2014-05-23 08:59 pm (UTC)"What?" He was standing slightly hunched over the dining table, his arms full of papers, ready to release the flood on the table's surface.
"I just cleaned off your last mess. I want to set the table for dinner."
"Esther, we need these for the next case. Time and tide wait for no man."
"Put them down at the other end of the table. The tide will have to wait until after dinner."
Brian followed instructions and began to sort the papers into separate piles as Esther laid the dishes and utensils. A few more trips back and forth into the kitchen and casserole dish, a bowl of rice and a salad were ready to serve. Esther said, "Come sit down, Brian, it's time to eat."
Brian took his place but stared longingly at his stacks of information at table's end. Then he looked down at his full plate, "What this, then?"
"It's sort of Caribbean stew. Something that nice Mrs. Henry told me about. You know, we found where all the stock was disappearing from her store."
"Oh, ay, walking out the back door with her nephew," Brian said.
"Yes, a good idea she called us in instead of the police. She probably suspected a relative all along. Anyway, we chat sometimes."
"It's quite tasty," Brian said, still chewing his first bite.
"Oh, there was a check in the post today, from the insurance company," Esther said. "For our finding evidence about that man not being hurt at all in his accident."
Brian chuckled, "Snaps of him kickboxing while he's supposed to be wearing a back brace did the trick."
"How are you doing with their missing heir case?" Esther gestured at the paper stack's across the table.
"I'd finish up tonight if we didn't have to go out."
"Well, they couldn't find him for nine months, one more day won't matter."
When they finished eating, Esther washed up the dishes; Brian dried and put away. Then Esther said, "No work now, Brian, we're going to rest for an hour and then get ready. It"ll probably be a long night."
"All right."
They relaxed in their armchairs and may have even drifted off to sleep when the alarm Esther had set went off. "Hurry up, Esther, we want to get to the allotment shed and be well hidden before those vandals show up. And dress warm, you'd be surprised how chilly you can get in the night, just sitting."
"Really, Brian, this isn't my first stakeout," Esther replied with some asperity. "I have our kit all packed and ready to go. I just have to make the tea for the thermos. And I know how to dress."
Ten minutes later the firm of Lane & Lane, Inquiry Agents, left on their next assignment.
