I never can resist hc_bingo. I mean, between free interpretation, metaphor, choosing hurt-only, hurt/comfort, comfort-only, the multitudinous means of getting a bingo and the fact there are no penalties even if you don't even post one fill in amnesty, and a year-long period of writing altogether, what's to be afraid of?

Well, save the card itself. (I look at everyone else's cards and so many of the prompts and go YES YES YES and then get mine and go: 0_o for a few hours until ideas start arriving. This one is particularly scary, I feel, but has possibilities. And, you know, it's pretty, and it's not as if h/c and apocalypses aren't likely to overlap here and there...)

I nearly sent it back this morning, as I'd had enough fictional serial killers lately, but it occurred to me that maybe I could finally write Ripper Street fic (as it's set in Whitechapel in the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper murders, so lots of fallout without having to put up with any further killings!). Which is what I mean by ideas, so it's not as if it's something writable, just "oh, maybe in that fandom it would be less scary!" (Like rape/non-con would be a whole different thing if I used Dracula again.)

I have decided that, when you come down to it that's all that matters. Indeed, even just the fun of having the card and wanting to write the things is sometimes a cheering thing, even if it sadly comes to nothing. And they're very nice about no penalties, so, indeed... why not?

I think I had dungeons last time and never did anything with it. I have been thinking it might be fun to do a multi-era DW fic for it, as the Doctor is always being locked up. Dungeons over the years etc. etc. Possibly a best dungeon guide book, although that's not necessarily v hurt/comfort-y. ;-)

OOh, you know, what always gets me on these cards is how combining touching prompts always gets me thinking. Not that THINKING has resulted in me beginning my GenPromptBingo...

On your card, I'm thinking 'a healer in a dungeon' ooh, interesting. And 'atonement for serial killers'...mmm, yes. 'Orphans goes with Hunger/Starvation' really well... Maybe the 25 in one would be tough, but not impossible!

I know - I was thinking that afterwards. If an orphaned healer is locked up in a dungeon for theft (next door to a serial killer) and then has terrible stuff happen to them there before finally being rescued via alien abduction, it covers almost everything anyway. I'm just not sure that's a fic I'd want to write, but it is an amusing thought.

it's a pity you don't seem to be a fan of Stargate Atlantis, there are any number of episodes where these prompts would be canon.

You could try taking Dungeon to mean D&D and do a set of characters playing the game, either as a LRP or the classic gathered round a table.

I dunno, I have Doctor Who as a fandom; real dungeons are totally a thing. Also creaky old BBC Tudor things. Lots of people in the Tower of London!

Yours has more of a theme that the one I got. a 25-in-1 on mine would be utterly insane. Not only does it have the crackfic of de-aged, wings, and branding, it's got that mixed with the utterly non-scifi elements of eating disorders, group support, and therapy.

I just saw yours, and LOL, yes, indeed. It would be! (I suppose unless there were multiple people in the support group getting therapy for all these different issues!) Mine teeters on the edge of doable, but I can't quite imagine going there! The idea is pretty amusing, though!
