This one will be short: I don't know! It's going to depend on technology as well as fandom and that, and the way we access it, keeps changing so quickly I wouldn't even dare guess.

I've done it before and enjoyed it, but I hadn't for a while as the questions tend to remain the same/similar, so doing it too many years in a row can feel a bit frustrating/silly. But it's huge fun to do, and to see everyone else's posts. You usually wind up making a couple of new friends along the way and it's lovely to see such a lot of fannish posts and fannish positivity on my flist and via the comm's posts. As ever, I've picked up recs and new communities and all sorts.



(Now I just need to remember that I still haven't done Day 3 yet!)

I've found the best part is just being able to talk with people in the comments. Even if the main prompt is a bit generic, the conversations that result sometimes go off in interesting directions. :-)

With tumblr going the pan the future is unsure except for that fandom will be around somewhere!

It's always fun doing to same challenge at the same time as a bunch of other people - sort of like you're all hanging out together, I guess? Everyone's talking about the same things (even though the conversations go off in different directions) and that's fun.

Yes! It's nice. Like when everyone picks up a particular meme of whatever kind, too.

The future of fandom! Now there's a question and a half. I don't know where it lies, but I'm pretty sure most of it will be x-rated. ;) And bits of it will pick fights over silly things, and bits of it will make wonderful videos (or the future equivalent), and still other bits will make artworks that take your breath away. Also, cakefic will take over the internet.

"I don't know" seems to be the prevailing answer and with good reason as we've so lately seen with Tumblr's swan dive nothing is ever certain.
