Servalan surveyed the smoking heap of remains with little interest. Some sort of tentacled thing inside struggled weakly as the casing melted and the plunger fell off.

“Do you want to find out what it is?” asked Travis. “It looks as if it’s alien.”

Servalan shrugged. “The important point is, Travis, that it’s dead. I suggest you take it out of my office and incinerate it. Oh, and Travis? Do make sure there aren’t any more of them. I might not choose to save your worthless life next time.”
