5. Hmm, what sort of random things, meme? Things I like, presumably? I think, tbh, I just love Jenna Coleman, 2. I think, of all Steven Moffat's DW characters, she's got the most echoes of Lynda.

3. I really really love the whole time stream thing, I don't care how much it annoys anyone else, it is the best for fic writing. I think I've written more Clara in the time stream than any other one thing for New Who. 4. Jane Austen/Clara = <3; 5. I really loved her with Twelve.

I do love Liz, but only 10 faves is hard and though I like her and have written her a lot, other people come a bit closer in my heart. Like Lynda!! And I missed her.

I combined them and wrote a crossover with Clara and Regina. I was going to make it 3 sentences, but I never manage 3 sentences. 200+ words!

Regina swerved to avoid the figure in the middle of the road, and, pulling the car to an undignified halt with a muttered curse, she climbed out to give the stranger a piece of her mind. And find out what the hell a stranger was doing in her town anyway.

The girl, however, collapsed before she got to her.

“Who are you?” said Regina, shaking her. “What are you doing here? And don’t just lie there!”

The girl’s eyelids fluttered open. “A leaf,” she said. Maybe she was delirious. She frowned. “Time is really weird here. I think it sucked me in. I found him – saved him – the usual – but then I got pulled in here.”

“What?”

The girl’s eyes closed and she let out a last exhale of breath, dying even as Regina put out a hand to her face. She drew back, and phoned for Dr Whale and the sheriff, but it was clearly too late.

“What the hell?” she said, standing up, and staring about the empty road. There was no one else, and Storybrooke was as cursed and frozen as it had been before the girl’s impossible appearance.

Something had broken in, if only for a moment. Regina waited, all senses on edge, for something worse to follow, but nothing happened.

As usual, nothing at all happened in Storybrooke. She relaxed. Dead leaves weren’t much of a problem after all.

1. What defining trait draws you to them?

I, er, seem to have a thing for women who could probably take over the world, and sometimes have?

I think, with Regina, though, it's her strength - she will go to greater heights and depths than anyone else, and stand pain as well as inflict it, and feel things too deeply (both what causes her to become evil as well as what forces her to walk the long road out again).

And not a trait, but her relationship with Snow is key, and it's a pretty unusual and often intense one.

Also her sarcasm, which is always a highlight, and her wardrobe, whether as Madam Mayor or the more OTT Evil Queen outfits.

(I started off in S1 thinking her 2D evil and then spending the rest of the entire show going REGINAAAA in different ways.)

That sounds sound compelling. I'm glad she developed so many more dimensions after her first season!

The thing with OUaT is that a lot of the story is told in flashback, so finding out who she was took a while. And in the meantime, Lana was storming about in wonderfully OTT costumes and attitude ruining everybody's lives. I think as well I was a little unfair at the time, because everyone had been singing Lana Parrilla's praises (understandably) and it took me a while to see it, and then, of course, it was always there.

(The fundamental difference between Regina and Rumple as villains is that Rumple is a coward who clings to power and is too scared to let it go despite wanting to at times, whereas Regina will push herself to lengths that anyone with more sense of fear and self-preservation would have drawn back from, and I enjoy that contrast in them.)

“Do you want to find out what it is?” asked Travis. “It looks as if it’s alien.”

Servalan shrugged. “The important point is, Travis, that it’s dead. I suggest you take it out of my office and incinerate it. Oh, and Travis? Do make sure there aren’t any more of them. I might not choose to save your worthless life next time.”

Well, I've already answered 3 for 3, as I would change the ending and the whole Chakotay/Seven thing.

For Servalan... I don't know. I mean, a person shouldn't have to be in a Ben Steed episode, but then again, Servalan's bits of those are the highlights generally. She should never have taken to wearing black?

Dayna... again. I don't know. I don't really want to change canon very often, especially not in B7.

I was going to cross out this question because everyone chose it and it is very difficult to write 5 random things about people, as it turns out. (What kind of things does it even want??) But the meme was clearly over, and surely nobody else would ask me #5 again, would they?
