I may not be around so much, but everyone else suddenly seems really busy...

* intoabar has finally reappeared... in summer when it's no use at all! But it's fun, and I can recommend signing up if you like a fun crossover challenge.

* remixrevival has opened for sign-ups! Remix is my one summer thing I do, as it usually works out, and I love Remix too much not to try. I'll wait till nearer the 20th to do it, though, just in case the weather is awkward, and see how I am. (There's such a fascination with trying to pull out something from the bones of someone else's fic to play with, and seeing someone else give your own fic that same attention and pull unexpected things out of it. Sort of terribly navel-gazey, I suppose, but great fun and there's usually some amazing fic.)

* There's a mid-year equivalent of the Snowflake Challenge going on - the sunshine_challenge, with a challenge every other day (starting yesterday).

* trope_bingo has opened for its latest round, too.

* Plus, tardis_library is having a reccing bingo.

I feel you! I'm no use at all during summer, it's my least favourite season :(

There are so many fic exchanges out there! There's also the Narnia exchange and the fic corner exchange, etc. etc. I am in awe!

How do you do a Remix?

You remix someone else's fanfic in some way - how that works depends very much on each individual writer's interpretation. Check out the comm for more details and links to the collection, where you can see previous examples. They may have links to remixing meta somewhere, but if not there are still links about via remixers_lounge on LJ from the original Remix Redux exchange.

The weather is behaving very well, but summer is still summer and there we are. In a few weeks when there is a bit less daylight, if it is still behaving well, it'll be great! <3

Summer in Sweden has so far not been too warm with quite a bit of rain. I shocked my workmates with saying I wished it would keep up that way.

I'm glad you've not been having the heatwave, either! It's been pretty cool here, but unfortunately I just have this problem where I can't be in a room for too long if the window's open, and my PC sits in my bedroom where the window faces full west, and it's all just ridiculous but awful for a few weeks. Or months if it actually does get hot... *fingers crossed*
