1. Commentfest with a fairy tale/fae theme spotted around and about: November Nymphs & Nixies.

2. I have my Yuletide assignment and it's a nice one, so fingers crossed, I can do something with it! (I haven't yet, though.)

3. In my Dracula giffing, I have now achieved Dracula (1958), although most of the gifs are still pending in my queue or hanging about in my drafts over at tumblr. In the meantime, have a Peter Cushing or two:

And not to be unfair, have a bonus Christopher Lee:

4. I also did these gifs from Spiders (2000) an SFF/Horror film starring a young Lana Parrilla as UFO-obsessed college reporter Marci Eyre. It promised to be terrible in exactly the right enjoyable way and it was. I would say have some gifs of a young, geeky Lana vs a giant mutant spider from space, but I'm sorry, I edited out the spider. I have priorities. They don't have eight legs.

I especially liked how both Lana and the hero kept losing clothes as it progressed. Personally I would have chosen not to shed layers while running from giant venomous spiders, although in the hero's case, I suppose it isn't his fault if his shirt evaporates on contact with water. (I mean, I'd have thought that was a serious design flaw even in California, but each to their own.)

Also some admirably terrible SFX spider-rampaging at the end. Oh, and Villain/Alien Spider was totally canon; that was quite impressive in its own special way. Marci is totally ruthless as a reporter, though. Even Lynda Day would have let the story wait if she'd got two of her best friends killed, but it wasn't the kind of film where you want to worry about logic much.

Other than that, I've been pretty tired and had an appointment, hence gifs. Tragically no James Maxwell ones, though. This year is very short on James Maxwell and it's an unfair thing, but OTOH, it had Lana vs a Giant Spider, so I suppose that is something.

Excellent giffing! It never ceases to amuse me how, no matter how many times he tucks that coat around Tanya, it still just slips straight back off again. Perfect choice of Christopher Lee gif, too ❤️

Lana Parrilla almost makes me want to watch that: she looks as if she's having a great time.

Cute 'Dracula' gifs (and not so cute gif!):D

I like Lana's nail varnishes:D

Oh and I've seen 'The Traitors' now (just about) and it wasn't half as hard to spot Jack May as I expected! I also watched 'Cone of Silence' which didn't have as much Peter Cushing as I'd like.

I hope you are feeling a little better today *hugs*

The swimming pool was the best bit:D Chuck those chairs! And life before 24 hr gyms. Patrick Allen's boss was rubbish asking why spies would meet up in a cinema, because it's dark, fool(!)! Obv he should've retired. And the knowledge that commie pinko spies are all become alcoholics when they go over to the red side, explains why they were no match for PA and co.

Christopher Lee was my first Dracula. I still find his version menacing, even if the movers are not...

God now I'm just thinking of all the gifs and fanart I've compiled on my tumblr blog for the movie "Elfie Hopkins", which is easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen, both writing and production-wise... but it has Aneurin Barnard as it's co-lead.

I wish Lana Parrilla was in more stuff in general. She was really strong in Once Upon a time and I hope she shows up in something again soon.

God that sounds... like a very specific artistic choice lmao. The choice not to colorize the hair is the most baffling to me. You'd think that'd be much easier than colorizing skin tone.

The only other thing I really know Lana's been is is a one-and-done show from 2008 from Swingtown, but it's not part of any streaming service so I'd have to buy it from Amazon or iTunes and I don't know if I wanna spend the money on a show that got cancelled and I don't know is any good. :/
