Double Drabble: Nothing at the End of the Lane

So, I keep having feelings I don't like about the finale and turned them into this double drabble in an attempt to offload them somewhere and hopefully move onto a more positive place. (I'm not sure this is exactly what I think as such, but it is a lot of why this hurt so much.) And it fitted a genprompt_bingo square, which is obviously the important thing.

Oh gosh, this was a very sad thing to read, but it was great. I think that the finale left a lot of us feeling so much grief and sadness, and this helps! <3

Aww, thank you! I wanted to write it, but I did have a hesitation between writing and typing up/posting, because did that need to be done? I'm glad if it also helped anyone else process a bit too. ♥

There is, I think, even if it doesn't turn out to be too bad, an inevitable sense of loss if we really were not watching what we thought we were watching all along, in a show that has been going for this long and means so much to so many of us. And I think my little ficlet/drabble was more about that than about canon, really.
