I need to catch up again, but in the meantime, (probably) my favourite bingo opened for sign-ups and I was right there, even though the prompts tend to scare me - [community profile] hc_bingo!

(In addition I have rashly volunteered to sort out their tags, which has been a nice low level activity for the last couple days. If a bit too addictive!)

Anyway, I have a card! It actually has one of my vetoes on it (crucifixion), but I looked at it and decided I mostly really liked it apart from that so I kept it anyway as I would have regretted it lots had the replacement been scarier.

family abandonment issues mistaken identity tyranny / rebellion crucifixion
blood loss trapped together shipwrecked archaic medical treatment culture shock
forced to uncover past trauma branding WILD CARD broken bones crisis of faith
rescue brainwashing / deprogramming first transformation loss of powers CPR / rescue breathing
sex pollen amnesia headaches / migraines loss of limb / amputation / mutilation Stockholm syndrome

I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, but I am eyeing up the second horizontal line, and trying to avoid my Veto. (Which probably means I'll make something for that first if I'm not careful.)

What should I make or write for it? Assuming I ever have brain again... XD (They allow any fanworks.)

What should I make or write for it?

I am always a fan of shipwrecks. I am also intrigued by the possibilities of temporarily depowered Elements.

I've never succeeded at completing a fandom bingo card so I stopped signing up for them but this looks very tempting.

Ah, I see you have until January 5 to complete it.

You have tempted me.

I usually rule out as many things as I can but this time I think I'm going to just roll with whatever I get... famous last words.

Good to know. :D

I thought I noticed that you'd opted out of crucifixion but it's on your card.

It could have been a lot worse considering I didn't veto anything. :D

Now I'm imagining h/c involving Michael Palin's character from Life Of Brian. Presumably somebody needed to give him a cuddle after handing out all those crosses.

PS: Shipwrecks!

Can you ask them to replace just that one square on your card? They really should not have given you one of your vetoes on your card.

Tell them you love your card overall, but it has one of your vetoes on it and you would like them to just replace that one square if possible. If not possible, you will keep this card, and instead avoid the square.

That's a good card; I've probably written six of them, not all in different stories.

Not sure I'd sign up though; I've found writing too hard lately (which explains why I haven't written your prompts from early in lockdown, even though I have a couple of lame ideas).

Bravo for taking on the tags!

Lots of ouches in the bingo card and the top line looks good apart from the crucifixion problem. Could you cheat and have a haunted necklace?

My idea of low effort tagging is to fail to do it, lol.

I'm glad there are lines you like that don't involve the dreaded square!

I looked at your card and immediately went and signed up myself because I'm awful.

I like [personal profile] liadt's haunted necklace idea. Might I also suggest ... Catholic angst?

Yay! Great prompts to choose from.
I think they finally added some new ones.
I got my card too but I have no idea what I'm going to do.
Good luck with yours.
