aha - no, i didn't. the scaryness was a surprise, and i am watching it very slowly around other things, but i am still watching it. finished the first assignement and most of the way through the second.

And the second is the creepiest, anyway. (Well, or possibly 4.) Assignment 3 is freaky, but less creepy. It has the evil pillow, and then Silver! (I am of course biased on that subject. Some people - Steel, for instance - find him annoying, and some people think he may be evil [impossible!!]. I just can't get over the joke that you have Joanna Lumley, David McCallum and David Collings, and which of them gets to be Casanova of the Elements? LOL forever.)

Thanks! And, even aside from the fact I could never have got it done that fast, that would have been terrible, so... I did nearly put mineaway, after reading yours, 'cos that was just lovely. But I still liked some bits of it too much.

Oh, no, I don't count them when they go round killing off companions and generally making their lives a misery. (So, I sort of count the NAs sometimes, but rarely the MAs...)

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe I over-think things, but it just doesn't feel like a series thing to me. But thank you.

ETA: You really should post those two birthday fics on

sapphirensteel - if you wanted to, of course. Everyone's usually pretty pleased to see new S&S fic, and I can see the seaside one in particular going down well, and I don't think everyone there is on AO3 yet, although quite a few are.

I still try to avoid spoilers, even for things I know it's highly unlikely I'll ever read. I made the ending as vague as possible so that it might fit into whatever someone wanted it to fit in with - I hadn't realised I'd accidentally come that close to an actual version.

But I think there's less agony in your version.

And ??? There's nothing showing on my flist yet. (The mod's AWOL, so if it's gone into a queue, it'll stay there forever, in a v S&S-like fashion. LJ seems to have done something and now it doesn't like links to AO3, even though it used to be fine. That happened to me when I tried to post my remix fic. If so, you'll have to post the fic itself to the comm, or post to

element_flash instead which does have active mods (but is slightly smaller). Or give up, of course, but I hope not.

Heh. You do know that when you tell me that I am on the other side of the world trying to contain myself, with, \o/ and You have to see THE ENDING. And SILVER. And the CREEPY SEPIA CHILDREN. And the actual final ENDING. Argh. And then remember to hit myself over the head with something before I get too annoying. Aw, at your having to do things properly, though. Steel would probably approve. Hopping about in a non-linear manner might cause a time-break.

(Also: now my sister and her husband are watching Life, because they watched it with my Mum & Dad. Your DVD is travelling about the UK a surprising amount. It's been to the NE, to Somerset, and now it's in London.)
