500 Prompts Meme (yes, really)

Okay, so I may have said I had a keep-writing-ficlets plan. Here it is, flist, and it won't work without you... Believe it or not, btw, this is actually a thing I found out in the wild as a meme:

STEP ONE: Match a pairing/two or more characters/crossover characters to a prompt.
STEP TWO: Repeat STEP ONE as many times as you want.
STEP THREE: Wait patiently.
STEP FOUR: READ ALL THE FIC!

For something like this, I'll attempt writing pretty much anything I know. My interests and tags should be a reasonable guide, but anything I've mentioned is fair game. Variety is good. So are weird old things I know that aren't even proper fandoms (♥). So are proper fandoms! Or even things like my isurrendered shows. Whatever. You can try something you think I'll know, that's fine - I'll just say if I can't do it/don't know it.


And I'm of course not expecting or wanting to get 500 actual prompts (!!!!) but it would be wonderful if I got to about 100, so leave a handful, feel free. If it works out, I'll keep it as a sticky and wave it about every so often in the hope of more. If not, it can be quietly buried. But I think I can promise at least some fic first.

I hope that these might sometimes double up for other challenges and things, too - I'll already have ideas I can use, and that'll help me join in, but we'll see. Or birthday fic. Things like that. I don't know. That depends.

(Hmm, for newbies, things I don't know - I have a tag for Firefly, but I don't know it. I know Sherlock but can't imagine writing fic for it. I tend to duck and hide at Really Big Ships, but you can try me. I also don't know a lot of major things, like Stargate, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones, Teen Wolf.

N.B. I found this meme out in the wild, but it struck me that 500 prompts don't appear from nowhere, so I searched and it seems to be from 500themes. However, this is either an earlier version of their list, or it's been altered in being passed along - and I've substituted quite a few prompts for randomly generated lines of poetry. Still, all original credit (and some apologies) to 500themes.
